A personal website for Agnieszka Besz, VP of Engineering: essays on engineering, leadership and AI, case studies of the products and teams she has built, an about page and a CV.

The design is editorial and quiet. Headlines are set in a tall, condensed serif, with one word picked out in rust and underlined by a drawn line, over warm paper with small monospaced labels. Each essay gets its own illustrated diagram in the same soft palette, long essays carry a table of contents in the margin, and the case studies explain their systems with diagrams drawn in the site’s own style. On a phone the navigation folds into a single Menu button and the reading measure stays comfortable.

Underneath it is plain HTML and CSS with a little JavaScript, self-hosted fonts and a strict security policy: the pages load only their own files, with no outside scripts, fonts or embeds. It publishes itself: a commit to the site’s GitHub repository is picked up by a home server, which deploys it, checks every file byte for byte and rolls back on any mismatch.
