Little Haven - House Project
A design study for my own home in Poland, made before the renovation to explore the space and visualise the interior. The renovation was finished in 2025. From above, two dark-roofed buildings sit on a lawn with an L-shaped deck around a pool. From the garden, the house has vertical timber cladding, a black tiled gable roof and large glazed openings, with a timber pergola beside the pool.
Inside, the palette is warm and saturated: terracotta kitchen units, a terrazzo island with a waterfall end, plywood walls, oak floors, brass details and a wave-shaped pendant, beside a dark green wall hung with framed football shirts. A bathroom under the sloping roof pairs dark walls with a brass-framed reeded glass screen, wood-effect wall tiles and patterned floor tiles, opening to a wardrobe.
Photographs of the finished kitchen show what survived: the terracotta fronts, terrazzo, wave pendant and plywood walls. Some details changed: the island front became fluted, a marble splashback went in behind a lit oak shelf, and the stools became green velvet. I designed the kitchen and Halupczok built it. The study was rendered in D5 Render.
